Manchester's Kid British, sounding nothing like Manchester. Four-piece, multi-racial, they take their cues from ska and hip-hop. The former's obvious with "Our House Is Dadless", from the choice of the sample source:
And here's Marina Diamandis, aka Marina & The Diamonds. She made the top two on the BBC's Sounds of 2010 list, behind Ellie Goulding. Her debut is due in April; here's one of the songs that's been a hit already, "I Am Not A Robot." See her do it live 3/18 at Lambert's, part of SXSW Music:
